Golf Day Raises $17,000 For Local Children’s Charity

Kookaburra Kids has raised $17,000 to support its programs for children with a parent living with mental illness at its annual golf day.

Held at The Ridge Golf Course on the 17th November, 95 golfers participated in the 18-hole Ambrose tournament, in support of the event.

Tynan Motors was pleased to support the event by providing a Subaru WRX as a hole-in-one prize, although no-one managed to land the grand prize.

“This year was our biggest day yet with support from players and businesses growing in strides each year,” said Pam Brown CEO of Kookaburra Kids.

Funds raised from the day go towards the Kookaburra Kids respite and mental health education program, supporting school-aged children living in families affected by mental illness.

The Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation believes all children deserve the right to be happy, the right to be nurtured, and the right to be a kid.
